Tested Travel had the opportunity to eat a late breakfast at Farmhouse Restaurant. In a word: fabulous!
The Decor: Centrally located next to the Hilton/Orrington Hotel and walking distance from downtown Evanston and Northwestern University, Farmhouse is a great little spot for coffee or breakfast. The design is a simple, homey decor that makes you feel comfortable and ready to focus on the work at hand — eating a great meal!
The Ambiance: Tested Travel was lucky to grab breakfast at Farmhouse on a weekday. The restaurant was quiet and service prompt. We can imagine that this is the kind of place that is packed on weekends. Plan ahead!
The Food: The menu is loaded full of breakfast classics — pancakes, omelets, French toast, steak and eggs — as well as fun twists (yummy monkey bread!). The ingredients were fresh and our meals were truly delicious! Only one oddity — for the non-pork eaters, they did not have a bacon or ham substitute. Oh well, can’t get everything!
Tested Travel can’t speak directly to the lunch or dinner menus, but they look fantastic!
