Yum, yum! Tested Travel had the opportunity to eat at a fantastic, small, friendly Italian restaurant while in St. Augustine -- Nonna's Trattoria.
Located in the heart of Old Town, Nonna's is a charming and easy walk from most Old Town attractions.
The Ambiance and Service
Nonna's Trattoria is a cute little place. If you are not paying attention you might walk right on by! But the smell of delicious Italian food will bring you right back. There are 4 or so tables outside and about 8 tables inside. Inside, the tables are set around the exposed kitchen area. The close interior makes it possible to hear (and smell!) the work and products of the kitchen. While the atmosphere of Nonna's feels more family-style and relaxed, the service is polished.
Wow! Perhaps we were just starving after a long day of sightseeing, but everything on the menu (and wine list) was delicious! The pasta was clearly fresh and traditional dishes abundant. You are not going to leave hungry! We started with Mozzarella Caprese and Calamari appetizers. Then moved on to Fettuccini Alfredo, Spaghetti and Meatball, and Mussels Marinara. Everything was made to perfection!
You can learn more about Nonna's Trattoria on their website.
