Tucson is a tourist, university, and convention town. As such there are lots and lots of hotels -- big resorts, economy motels, rental casitas, and everything in between.

Tested Travel really likes Lodge on the Desert.  It is centrally located in midtown Tucson and yet still has an out-of-the-way vibe.  The Lodge on the Desert is a 100-room boutique hotel that boasted Hollywood's best clientele back in the 1930s.

The Lodge is decorated in an authentic and charming hacienda-style.  The casitas and suites have saltillo tile floors and adobe fireplaces which really increase the charm-factor.

Cielos, the Lodge's restaurant, is wonderful! If weather permits, be sure to dine outside on the lovely patio!
