Take a hike!

If the weather is good, Tested Travel encourages you to hike through Holyrood Park to Edinburgh's peak, Arthur's Seat. Tested Travel would consider this a relatively easy climb and it is popular with families.  Note that you will be on gravel and rocky paths. The easiest and simplest entrance is from the east, where a grassy slope rises above Dunsapie Loch.

Once at the summit (822 ft), you are provided excellent panoramic views of the city and beyond.

Be sure to bring water and a snack. There are no facilities at the Park.
